MTI Student Stories
Isaiah’s Story:
Growing up in Tabasco, Mexico I have always felt a drawing toward the things of God. My heart was sold out for Jesus at a young age and I never let go of the dreams that He placed in my heart. Before coming to MTI, I was working with cell groups, reaching out to the youth in my area, and I was over a local hospital ministry. Part of my work was to reach young people and then to show them how they could be involved in helping their communities. I have a vision of planting churches in the ethnic groups in the Oaxaca area. I want to organize a group of young people that have the same vision and then began training them up to be pastors so that they can work to raise up different churches in the areas where there are none.
Edwin’s Story:
My heart is to plant churches in areas where they do not have churches. I have seen a hunger in the hearts of the young people that desire something different. I want to be involved in planting youth oriented churches or cell groups where the youth will meet and discuss the Word of God. I want to assist in raising up leaders that will be ready to go forth and make disciples. I want to teach them how to live in a Christian community and how to make a difference in their cities. In Matamoros I am helping with a youth ministry in a local church as well as teaching on evangelism and lending a helping hand to the surrounding community. I desire to continue teaching on leadership skills and helping to equip young people so that they can have ministries that will change this nation.
We would like to thank you for your faithfulness that you have shown us in giving. We have a desire to see that the country of Mexico has a successful church planted among every unreached people.
